Product Features:

4-Terpenol occurs naturally in turpentine, lavender oil, and many fruits. It is liquid, accompanied by spicy, earthy, green and woody aromas. It is prepared from sabinene by hydration with dilute sulfuric acid, or from terpinene by light oxidation, hydrogenation reduction, and selective hydrogenation.

Application:

Used as an ingredient in skin care lotions and shower gels; as an ingredient in mint candies and other food additives; as an antibacterial agent intermediate; as a preservative intermediate; as a flavoring ingredient in rose oil and geranium oil formulas.

Biological activity:

Terpinen-4-ol is a naturally occurring monoterpene that is the main active component of tea tree oil and has a variety of biological activities such as antifungal activity.

Chemical Properties:

Colorless oily liquid. Warm peppery aromas, lighter earthy aromas and aged wood aromas. Boiling point is 212℃ or 88~90℃ (800Pa). Slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohols and oils. Natural products are found in nutmeg, cardamom, rosemary, turnip, etc.
